R. Roy Wright, FACHE
President, Health First Community Hospitals

As President of Health First Community Hospitals, Roy is responsible for growth activities, medical staff relations, employee and community engagement, as well as operational performance at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital (150 beds) in Cocoa Beach, FL; Health First Palm Bay Hospital (152 beds) in Palm Bay, FL; and Health First Viera Hospital (84 beds) in Melbourne, FL. He also oversees pharmacy services for all four Health First hospitals.

Roy previously served as president of Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital in addition to overseeing most of Health First's non-acute outpatient and wellness services (including hospice, home care, durable medical equipment, private duty nursing, medical staffing, aging services, and four fitness centers) as well as system-wide pharmacy services. Prior to that, he served as Health First's vice president of strategic planning and business development.

Prior to joining Health First, Roy was involved in several healthcare startup companies, led an alliance of twelve non-profit hospital systems in Tennessee; and had previously worked for Orlando (FL) Health, Boca Raton (FL) Community Hospital and Morton Plant Hospital (Clearwater, FL).

Roy is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a master's degree in business administration (with certification in health and hospital administration). He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
