Health First Lung Nodule Program

Early answers can make all the difference. The Health First Lung Nodule Program provides fast, coordinated evaluation for lung nodules using advanced diagnostics and a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Our goal is simple: help patients get clarity sooner, reduce unnecessary steps, and support early detection when it matters most.

  • Highly trained staff who support patients through every stage

  • A clinic centrally located at Holmes Regional Medical Center

  • A state-of-the-art hybrid operating room with a dedicated nursing unit for complex procedures

This structure allows us to deliver accurate diagnosis and timely treatment planning under one coordinated program.

Advanced Diagnostic & Surgical Services

We offer a full range of diagnostic procedures and surgical options for evaluating and treating lung nodules, including:

  • Lung nodule screening

  • Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy (ENB) and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) for precise lung cancer diagnosis

  • Bronchoscopy

  • CT-guided biopsy

  • Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS)

  • Robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Xi system

  • Thoracic surgery for malignant nodule removal

Our minimally invasive approaches offer faster recovery, smaller incisions, and greater diagnostic accuracy.

Who we evaluate.

We see patients who:

  • Had a Low Dose Chest CT (LDCT) with a suspicious nodule or mass

  • Have an incidental lung nodule found on abdominal CT or other imaging

  • Received Lung-RADS 3 or 4 results

  • Received Lung-RADS 2 results and need yearly follow-up screening

Whether a nodule is newly detected or requires long-term monitoring, we ensure a clear, individualized plan.

How we streamline care.

Our program is designed to make evaluation efficient, accessible, and easy for both patients and referring providers:

  • Streamlined care to lower cost and save time

  • In-person or virtual visits for added convenience

  • Provider-to-provider reporting to keep referring clinicians updated

  • Early detection for better outcomes and improved peace of mind
